mathematics, e.g., analyzing the given data in a problem and
identifying what mathematical operation will be applied to
solve the problem.

A. Springboard/Motivation (Establishing a Activity 1: A Problem or Not

 Show learners different pictures of simple problems in
life.
 Ask them if it’s a big problem or not and ask to
elaborate their answers.

B. Activity (Review of previous lesson/s or Activity 2: Review Time

Ask:
 How will you define problem?
 How can you tell if a person has a problem or not?
 How can problem affect individual persons and people
surrounds them?
 Does a problem have a different solutions?
 Is it possible to look at a problem in positive way? Why?

knowledge in the video they are about to see and look for
the brighter side of the video.
 Play a documentary video to the learners about how
teenagers deal with their problems in life.

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new Activity 4: Act-Out

 Choose a learners who will act out the scenario base
on the module page 18-19.Choose also a narrator.
 Let other learners pay attention to the role-play and
observed proper behavior while the play is being done.
Answer the following questions.

1. What was Marian’s problem?


2. How did Marian feel about her problem?
3. How did Rina prevent Marian from breaking down?

Presenting the Lesson

 Learners will open their module on page 17-29.


 Discuss the module with learner’s participation and let them
answer some questions on the module.

Group Work
 Group learners into two and give each group a manila paper
and a pen.
 Let them answer the questions on page 27 on the module
and let them choose a reporter who will report their
answers in front of the class.
