3. Plan Ahead For Exchange to avoid Deferred Graduation

Try to take all required courses in HKUST, all required courses are offered in every semester,
econometrics is a course relatively easier to be transferred back as ECON 3334. For requirement
for ECON 4670, one must leave one elective courses to be taken in HKUST.

4. ECON 4670 – Economics Research and Communication

This course is to ensure that students will acquire research and communication skills through
producing a research-based term paper. The paper may be one that has been written for ECON
4959, or any other 4000-level or above Economics course that has a term paper requirement.
The paper should embody the equivalence of a minimum of two credits of workload if it is
written for ECON 4959. Graded P or F.
