PROGRESS REPORT
I. INTRODUCTION & OBJECTIVES
This Conservation Management Plan (CMP) provides a framework for the
existing condition of Revellin Real de Bagumbayan, in cohesion with its
historical value and significance. This will include a study of its original design
up to its construction that will be given a comparison to the current state of
the building.

outer defense for the Puerta
Real. A ravelin functioned as a
defense for a gate where
cannons are mounted on the
upper platform while the lower
chambers served as storage for
gunpowder and ammunition
magazines.

Interview with Sir Ray:

-Revellins were added after the British Invasion to quell the outside forces in
Bagumbayan, where the British took refuge before invading Intramuros.

-Revellin Real de Bagumbayan was reconstructed rather than restored

-Common damages of Revellins are the growth of natural vegetation in


between or growing into the structure, affecting the Revellins’ structural
condition
