"COGNIFIX"

(THE HIDDEN ANIMALS AND THE POET)

MECHANICS:

• This activity will test the cognition of students in particular with their psycholinguistics
skill ( writing ).

• The class will be grouped into 5 and will choose 1 representative to answer in every
number.

• Pasted on the wall is a puzzled picture of a well known poet. Behind the puzzles are
guide sentences with a hidden animals in it.

• Each representative of the group are going to find the animal hiding in every sentence,
and once figured they will whisper their answer to the facilitator to check if its correct.
Once verified correct the representative will now transfer the puzzle pieces to the puzzled
area one at a time, where they would assemble and fix the pieces to form the face of the
great poet.

• Once they've completed finding all the hidden animals, they will now going to assemble
the puzzle.

• After assembling the correct puzzle figure, they will now proceed to the next station,
which is the guessing of the great poet. Hints are provided in guessing the renowned
poet. In answering, the representative should whisper his/ her answer to the facilitator to
be verified.

• Once verified and figured , the group will write down the name of the poet inside the
box that is being provided.

• Each group will be given their time to find, assemble and fix everything.

• The fastest the group, the more chances of getting a higher score. As the representative
touches the puzzle piece, their time will automatically start.

• Guidelines for scoring is presented below:

GUIDELINES FOR SCORING:

• Scoring will be based on their rank, the first group who’ll have the fastest time in doing
the activity, they will be having the highest score and then so on with the rest.
