Presentation about TIA system at Scania Romania

HI, everyone,
First of all, let me thank you all for coming here today. I am happy that so many of you could make it
today.
Let me introduce myself, I am Andreea Corbu, from Scania Romania and I am in charge with developing
and introduction new projects in the company.

The subject of my presentation today is regarding TIA System, and by the end of this talk you’ll familiar
with Scania and also with Tia system.
My talk is particularly relevant to those of you who works, especially in condition that can affect your
health or life (e.g. in factories)
I’ve divided my presentation in 2 main parts: company presentation and definition and purpose of the
system.
Scania is a major Swedish manufacturer of heavy trucks, busses and marine engines.
In Romania, Scania has 7 workshops and deals with the sale of new and used trucks, but also with their
repair.
Our core values are: customer first, respect for the individual, elimination of waste, determination, team
spirit and integrity witch are the most important guidance and support us in creating value for the
company.
Tia system was created because of our core values, especially for Scania employees from all over the
words and is mandatory to be use
Tia system is about health and care, because we could be in touch with every region and also with every
occurrence that may happened.
This system, is actually an application with different types of occurrences, like near miss, accident, risk
observation and each employee announce an occurrence in the first moment when he notice it.
Tia is available on every mobile phone and also on our internal network connection and is very easy to
use, is a user friendly application.

The purpose of this application is to avoid serious accidents, mortal accidents, because in our workshops
where all the technicians are working with trucks and heavy busses, every day is a challenging one.
Each service has a lot of material and equipment but not every person is actually using it, so in this way,
we could monitor and also implement new useful rules.
The instructions are very simple, every person that notice an occurrence, opens the application, and the
only steps are to describe the action, more detailed, and to mention the exact place, workshop, and
after that, another person will take action and will verify and also will try to eliminate the possibility that
this occurrence repeat in the future.
Also, with Tia’s help, every employee could find and learn about health and care and what should they
do or not in every situation.
