Motivation Yes ma’am we want to see it

You want to see it in real?

Now class what do you think is our topic for We think It’s all about absorb and not absorb
today? things ma’am.
Yes,
What else? It’s all about things that absorb water ma’am.
Very good
Class today we will discuss about materials that We ma’am
absorb water.
Who want to learn? Yes ma’am
So must always listen
Discussion A.
Class when we say absorb- to take in
(something, such as a liquid) in a natural or
gradual way. There are two materials to absorb
water the porous and the non-porous materials.
When we say porous it is a materials having
small holes that allow air or liquid to pass
through. And when we say non-porous means
materials that do not allow air or liquid to pass
through.

There are some materials/things that we can

called as porous materials like;

Sponge, face towel, tissue, cotton balls and paper

. “Pupils are reading”
Please read.

Sponge, face towel, tissue, cotton balls and Sponge, face towel, tissue, cotton balls and
paper. paper.

And also there are some materials/things that we

can called as non-porous materials like:

Plastic bottles, pail, basin, tab, container and etc.

Please read “Children’s are reading”

Very good Plastic bottles, pail, basin, tab, container and

Class you must remember these; etc.

. There are different materials in our

environment that can be classified according to
their properties. They can be classified based on
their ability to absorb water. Some material can
absorb water more than others.
. Cotton is very porous, which makes it a natural
absorber of water.
. Plastic as a non-porous material, does not allow
water to pass through.
. Porous materials are materials having small
holes that allow air or liquid to pass through.
Did you learn something? Yes, ma’am
Okay what did you learn? We learn about materials that absorb water
Very good. ma’am.
B. Discussing new concepts and “Everyone will participate”
practicing new skills:
Group work
“Giving Direction”
Class your group I will give you a materials and
defined if it is porous materials or non-porous
materials.
Group 1
sponge
Group 2
basin
Group 3
pail
Group 4
Face towel
