I. Introduction
In line with one of the subjects of Master of Science in Secondary Education major in Mathematics,
Seminar in Teaching Mathematics (Math 290), a seminar entitled “Seminar on Vedic Mathematics” was
conducted on November 20, 2016 (from 8:00 – 12:00) and December 3, 2016 (from 8:00 – 12:00). The
seminar is organized and conducted by the Math 290 students with Dr. Wenceslao A. Coronado as the
facilitator, adviser, and speaker as well. The participants are Education Students (Math Majors) of
Mindanao State University – Naawan, and secondary students from different high schools.
II. Pre-Implementation
Several meetings, discussion, powerpoint editing and rehearsals are made before the seminar.
Obligations and responsibilities are set as the tasks and committees are finalized. Among these

III. Implementation
The seminar proper for part I and part II started with a prayer and the singing of the Philippine
National Anthem. Opening remarks with Dr. Wenceslao A. Coronado followed summarizing the history
and origin of Vedic Mathematics. The lecture proper then followed with the following topics and speakers

The seminar ended with the closing remarks by Maria Araceli B. Acero and closing prayer by Early Jean R.
Dandasan.
The seminar is successfully done, all the topics and objectives are attained, all questions of the
participants are answered, all were given snacks, and fact sheets, and all speakers were able to speak.
With this, it is recommended that seminars related to Vedic Math be conducted again with a broader
scope of participants and venue so that many individuals would learn its concepts and techniques for
