Chapter 2

METHODS

This chapter details out the research methodology for the present study. It

explains the research objectives and a suitable methodology to achieve those

objectives. It contains and discusses the type of qualitative research employed, the

respondents of the study, and data gathering tools and procedure.

Research Design

The researchers used phenomenology as the research design for this study.

This was utilized to determine the effects of impacts of watching K-Drama, K-Music

and K-Video to the Grade 11 ABM students of Baybayog National High school.

Study Sites and Participants

The study was conducted within the premises of Baybayog National High

School, Baybayog, Alcala, Cagayan. The participants to this are the Senior High

School students of Grade 11 ABM under the Academic Track 2019-2020. They were

the chosen respondents because ever since Korean dramas was introduced in the

Philippines, Senior High School students begin to follow this trend and watching

Korean dramas is one of entertainments the students have.

Research Techniques

Availability sampling is to be used to determine the study and semi-structured

interview will be making use of to gather data.
