I. RATIONALE

The culminating activity not just enhances and discovers the skills of the students, but it also creates the a
strong bond between the student. It creates camaraderie among students. It is important because in
the activity you can show what are the knowledge you learned and skills that was improved and earned. A
culminating activity is an activity that is designed to give students the opportunity to display or showcase all the
skills and knowledge that they have incurred from a particular subject. Its purpose is to wrap up a school year
worth of learning in a presentation that encapsulates all the thoughts that the students have encouraged and
apply them in a physical and actual manner. In performance –based subjects like MAPEH, culminating
activities serve as tasks that helps students discover their hidden talents such as singing, dancing, and physical
acting and perform it in front of an audience. At the same time, these activities also boosts self-esteem, unity
and camaraderie among student groups.
Having a special culmination to an activity can really build up program interest, promote advocacy, and
promote student involvement in physical activity. It allows for appropriate closure and leaving an activity at a
high motivational level.
