 Picture this, all of our garbage, junk and trash are just thrown away at any

rate. We all just dump all the trashes to a landfill or dump all of it in a river. What

do you think will happen? A catastrophe! About two billion people live without

waste collection at all, and 3 billion have uncontrolled waste disposal which

means: poor waste disposal is a global problem. In modern times, there are a lot

of wastes that we can see in almost every corner of our country or even just here

in our own houses. Waste disposal is one of the biggest global problem that

affects our beautiful home and environment. The rate of wastes are increasing

day by day in the world and it seems like it is okay for them to have a lot of

waste.

According to Business Dictionary, Waste Disposal or Waste Management

is theThe collection, transportation, and disposal of garbage, sewage, and other

waste products. Waste management encompasses management of all processes

and resources for proper handling of waste materials, from maintenance of waste

transport trucks and dumping facilities to compliance with health codes and

environmental regulations.

Volunteer Waste Disposal Department (VWDD) is a Philippine association

of waste reduction advocators that are dedicated to achieve a sustainable

environment based on the principle of Zero Waste. VWDD’s Zero Waste No

Haste Campaign strives for people to have common responsibility on their waste

and for the government to have policies for conservation of resources.

Our group aims to create a website focusing on our objectives and

advocating about at ZeroWasteNoHaste.com. We will make use of infographics

that will explain how Zero Waste works. We will also be creating a video that

aims to provide information about Zero Waste. This project can be an eye opener

for people to start saving our mother earth and to stop them from producing a lot

of waste. This can help them be aware of how Zero Waste No Haste can help

improve our environment.
