1. The nominal area of the circular stranded
CABLE ACCESSORIES
conductor is that of the nominal lug or ferrule size.
2. For flexible cables the next highest lug or
ferrule size in relation to the area must be used.
3. For compacted cable the heavy duty lugs and C D E
ferrules must be used.
Certain compacted cables vary in nominal diameter

and cable diameter must be matched to the lug or
ferrule barrel inside diameter.

Ovalgrip Cable Markers
CABLE ACCESSORIES
Ovalgrip markers have been specifically designed
to mark cable and wire both before and after
termination.
Their oval shape means that these markers are easy

to fit by hand directly onto the cable pre-termination
or they can be attached as an identification flag
post-termination using special marker Arrowtags.
Arrowtags fitted with Ovalgrip are fastened using
cable ties and can very easily be modified or
removed without the need to uninstall the cable.
Sizes 50 and 85 can be used with Arrowtags for

identifying larger cable bundles.
Application
Ideally suited to panel building, mass transit, utilities,

telecommunications and electrical contracting.

Helagrip Cable Markers

CABLE ACCESSORIES
Helagrip is a versatile and cost effective cable

identification system. The specially designed internal
profile allows one size of marker to be fitted onto a
wide range of cable diameters. Helagrip’s chevron
cut ensures that the markers lock together, enabling
the text legend to stay in place where cable
movement or vibration is likely. The flexible material
ensures that Helagrip cable markers always fit
securely onto the wire.
Application
Ideally suited to panel building, mass transit, utilities,

telcommunications and electrical contracting.
Helagrip is supplied on a reel for ease of use. Markers
are available as standard in international resistor
colour code and yellow material marked in black.
White material marked in black is available on
special order. Characters are 0 - 9, A - Z and standard
electrical symbols. For smaller cables and wire it is
recommended that you use the AD applicator or the
TJC installation tool.
• Flexible PVC (High temperature 85°C).

• Coding A - Z, 0 - 9 and standard electrical symbols.
• Custom marking on request.
• HO markers available, black on yellow.
• Standard packets of: H085 = 100.
• May be fitted directly on the cable or alternatively
