Business Development Manager Nawaloka Trading Co. (Pvt) Ltd No 55, Negombo Road, Peliyagoda Sri Lanka CONFIRMATION OF DELIVERY DATE
We thank you for the TT payment made by your client M/s Sanken Overseas (Private) Limited for the amount of 22,300.00 USD on 27th January 2020. As per the delivery commitment given by us, the order was to be completed on 02nd March 2020 and to be delivered at Maldives port by 02nd April 2020.
However, we are compelled to inform you that our factory has been closed until 27th February due to the unavoidable outbreak of coronavirus and once again closed on 1st March till 3rd March for the risk may arise from the back worker. Our factory has started functioning again from 4 th of March after theclearance given by the Chinese government while managing the above risks.
The office staff have been already reported and started work. However, only 15% of employees who are working in the manufacturing workshops are available so far, since 85% of our employees who are in the manufacturing workshops are from the other provinces in China. As you might already aware, 85% of rest of the employees are not able to come for work since the Chinese government has suspended the public transportation (train, bus. etc.) in order to prevent and control the virus spreading anymore. Therefore 85% of our employees who are engaged in the manufacturing workshops are not able to come to work until the virus is in a fully controlled situation.
The good news is that the virus seems to be stopped spreading anymore in China except for Wuhan and some of the public transportation facilities are resumed to function again. Therefore we are expecting our employees to be back in manufacturing workshops very soon and we are already seeing a progress.
We are currently on the process of manufacturing the items of your order and the consignment will be ready to ship by 31st March 2020 from China Seaport. ETA of the consignment to Maldives port by 31st of April 2020 by sea freight.
However, we understand your client’s (M/s Sanken Overseas (Private) Limited) delivery urgency at the site in order to complete and handover the project on time. Therefore, in order to meet your client’s (M/s Sanken Overseas (Private) Limited) deadline, we have also considered the possibility of sending the consignment by air.
For the Airfreight mode, there is a weight limit for one package of 250kg and Size limit of 140mm x 100mm x 100mm. And our pole is with 7700mm length and 270kg. So regardless of the efforts taken by us, it is impossible to transfer the consignment by air.
Hence we will select the sea freight mode and do our level best to minimize the time. Once again, we do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you due to this unexpected tragic disaster took place in China.
