4. DEFINITION:
MD ensures to establish EMS objectives for the organization every year, where required, MR’s
assistance is availed.
The following are considered while establishing the EMS Objectives. The objectives are
measurable and time bound.
Environmental Policy.
Legal requirements.
Significative Environmental Aspects
Technological possibilities.
Financial resources
The opinion of the affected parties.
Significant environmental Aspects are taken into account for controlling through the Environmental
Management programme.
The position and sub-positions numbered in the Environmental Management Programme enables
the matching of Objectives and Targets with the actions taken in each case.
I. Once in 4 months, MR appraises the HOD’s w.r.t achieving the Objectives and targets.
II. MR reviews the results of such meeting and records the details of same in the Form
ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME.
III. In the case of deviations from the schedule, they are analyzed for the causes of non
compliance. In such cases, Objectives and targets are revised actions are initiated to eliminate
the non conformances..
IV. It is necessary to modify the Programme in the case of implementing new activities, products
or services that may influence on the environmental aspects.
V. Any change and review in the Environmental Management Programme has to be approved by
the GM
