III.PROCEDURE
a. Rotinary activity
●Prayer ● Let us bow our head and feel the
● Good Morning class ● Good Morning Teacher
● How are you today? ● We are doing fine
● Are there any absent ● Yes/none teacher

b. Preparatory Activity
1. Recall
● Before we start our lesson, let us
have a recap on our past discussion.
Last time we studied about the
ordering number up to 100,000.
● Do you still remember how to arrange ● Students raised
numbers in increasing order their hands
How about in decreasing order?
● To arrange number in increasing or
decreasing order first pick any two
numbers and compare them, starting
from left to right. Find out which one is
greater or less than then put them in
● Let us call Oliver

● Very Good!

● Let us arrange the following in increasing order:

23,034 23,145 23,456 23,523

23,456 23,145 23,523 23,034

2. Motivation

There are 323 bananas in the basket.

How many bananas are there in the basket?

What is asked in the problem?

What operations are going to use?
How will you solve the given problem?

C. Presentation of the lesson

To solve the problem, you need to multiply 323 by 32.

The number sentence is 32 x 323 = N
Study the solution below using the place value chart

Now, before you find the answer maybe you have already
a clear understanding about our lesson for today.
Any idea class? Please raise your hand ● Student will answer the question

● Multiplying numbers up to three digits

by number up to two digits without
regrouping.
Very Good! We will multiply numbers up to 3 digits by
numbers up to two digits without regrouping.

Here’s the 3 step on how to multiply.

D. Lesson proper

Step 1: Multiply three hundreds, 2tens, and 3 ones by two ones.

Th H T O
3 2 3
3 2
Step 2: Multiply 3 hundreds, 2 tens and 3 ones
6 4 6
by 3 ten
2 x 323
Th H T O
3 2 3
3 2
6 4 6
9 6 9 0 Step 3: Add the products

TTh Th H T O 30 x 323
3 2 3
3 2
6 4 6 Partial Products
9 6 9 0 Partial
1 0 3 3 6 Final Product

D. Generalization

So, there are 10,336 bananas in 32 baskets.

Study the short method.

323
× 32
+ 646 multiply 323 x 2
969 multiply 323 x 3

E.
10,Application
336 final product

E. Application

A. Complete the table

X 3 33 13

22 726
32
133
213 2,769
323 7,429
113 1,469
233 7,689

B. Multiply

1. 34 2. 422 3.123 4.324 5.233

x12 x2 x33 x23 x23

IV. Evaluation

A. Get one half sheet of paper and answer it. Match the product in column a with
the multiplication sentence in column b.
A B

1. 9072 a. 133 x 33

2. 5082 b. 432 x 21

3. 7424 c. 134 x 12

4. 4389 d. 232 x 32

5. 1608 e. 231 x 22

B. Multiply, and then use the code below to answer this riddle. “I have two hands,
but no arms”.

1.) 322 2.) 342 3.) 894 4.) 144 5.) 211 6.)231

C. Get the product.

1.) 234 2.) 321 3.) 434 4.) 112 5.) 322
x23 x32 x22 x34 x21

V. Assignment: Read the problem sentence and solve.

1.) Mr. Cruz has a coconut plantation. There are 323 coconut trees in a row. If there are
32 rows, how many coconut trees are there in all?

2.) Mr. Basabica sold 13 boxes of buttons. If each box contained 23 buttons, how many
buttons did he sell?
