 Introduction of the Meeting Facilitator
o Sir Jayson’s history as Regent/ SSC President
o Irine Carlos is Committee for Environment
o 2015 RTU received the green award coming in 3 rd after UP Diliman and Miriam
College
o RTU’s Clean Air Asia Participation
o Solid Waste Management Department under Auxiliary Services
 Department Objectives is to maintain proper segregation of wastes
 Eventually create income generating projects from recyclable waste
materials
 Objective to resurrect the RTU Eco-warriors society
o CBL, Officers, and Programs have been planned
o Officers must eventually be granted authority to confiscate student IDs for
violators of campus cleanliness and orderliness
o To provide proper sanction to offenders by establishing documented guidelines
o Establish officers within this meeting (did not push through with election due to
possible conflicts with the CBL of the organizations).
o Gain the commitment of executing the projects
o Develop clear rules and policies, highlight collaboration and partnership
 Knowledge transfer, by 2023 change the culture of students
 To be the benchmark of other universities

o Note: Sir Jayson requested for the eco-warriors society to be independent of CSA
for approval but was declined due to having no mother organization outside the
campus. Opportunity for campus to innovate and become a benchmark

o Viral marketing strategy – pending project with Noel Abejar and IPE choreo
o Uniform color coding of trash bins in partnership with Health, Wellness, and
Safety
 3 color coded trash per assigned area
o Monitoring of classrooms per eco-warrior officer
o Sample classroom reminders created by some students
o Massive campaign
o Training of eco-warriors moved to 2 nd week of April from DOST on orientation,
training and workshop for eco-warrior waste management and segregation
o Disposal management guidelines
