Purpose To inform the faculty and staff members of the
upcoming non-working days; To make everyone
aware of the administration’s decision concerning
All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day

Feedback Some faculty and staff members may respond,
acknowledging the receipt of the e-mail.
Otherwise, they would simply take the message
into account and not show up to work during the
days specified in the e-mail.
Context Observance of the annual All Saint’s Day and All
Soul’s Day; Suspension of work to acknowledge
religious holidays
Noise Lack of internet connection of some recipients, e-
mail may not be noticed by some or may be
buried within a recipient’s inbox, technological
ineptitude of some faculty/staff members

within the society when it comes to being a girl
Purpose To urge viewers of the video to partake in the
movement of spreading a more positive outlook
on the phrase like a girl; To inform people about
the current situation of some societies that look
down on girls/women; Can also be to advertise the
brand although this may be a secondary intent on
the part of the company

sharing the video to spread awareness;
Context Movement to build stronger and better confidence
in being a girl and doing things like a girl through
the #LikeAGirl campaign on social media
platforms; Prevailing negative perspective on the

opposed to physical or personal acts; Societies
with lower respect for women’s capabilities
