 We are destroying the last of our vital natural
resources, just as we are starting to wake up to
how precious they are. Rainforest once covered
14 percent of the land now it’s down to a mere 6
percent. Scientists predict that the rest could
disappear in less than 40 years. Thousands of
acres are cut down every second with dire
consequences for the countries involved and the
planet as a whole. Scientists estimate that we
loose 50,000 species every year, many species
every second including 137 plant types (not even
species but whole groups of plant species) and as
these plants disappear before science can record
them so does the chance to gain helpful
knowledge and possible medicines.
The deforestation of trees not only lessens the amount of
carbon stored, it also releases carbon dioxide into the
air. This is because when the trees die, they release the
stored carbon. According to the 2010 Global forest
Resources Assessment, deforestation releases nearly a
billion tons of carbon into the atmosphere per year,
though the numbers are not as high as the ones recorded

For the first Text, there are several points that I go
from this text;
The first about the source's authority from this text. I can'
found the source or the author's names noted in this text
Without the source's authority, we can't measure that th
text is reliable or not, because it establishes who is i
charge of the site, who wrote the information covered there
and more.
The second about the accuracy, I found that several word
wrongly used such as ( 'loose' instead of 'lose'), errors in
writing come across as unprofessional and unpolished, and
therefore unreliable.
The third is objectivity, the text must present with the leas
possible bias. It's important for an author of a credibl
source to present his arguments with the least amount o
prejudice, or bias, towards his own opinion or opposin
view. Authors who do not include any different opinion
also run the risk of being unreliable because they are no
presenting the whole picture, which can lead to accusation
of being an unreliable or not credible source of the text and
I found that the text it's just an opinion of the writer withou
at least the least possible bias or argument from the othe
one.Not only that, the text is distributing with factual but
found that the author tries to change the user's mind by he
dramatic statement "Do you think that thousands of acre
are cut down every second with dire consequences for th
countries involved and the planet as a whole?" and
Scientists estimate that we loose 50,000 species every year
many species every second including 137 plant types (no
even species but whole groups of plant species)" I think it'
a dramatic sentence that the author wrote to provocate th
reader. I got that the text it's not relevant to the fact. So, it'
an unstable source of academic sources.The text also i
personal, the use of ( we) and the informal word " it's down
to" it is not related to academic writing.
So the first text is not reliable.
I believe the second text is more reliable. The reasonabl
reason is that the text is used formal language (suitabl
academic style) without personal style. In objectivity, th
reliable text must present with the least possible bias. It'
important for an author of a credible source to present hi
arguments with the least amount of prejudice, or bias

In coverage, This text handles a manageable aspect of th
topic, rather than trying to cover absolutely everything
about the topic, the author tries to compile smaller abou
the text to make it simple, looking for the tex
"Deforestation is the second largest atmosphere, ranging
between six percent and 17 percent." I believe that th
author tries to explain more details in a simple way abou
the topic. It is far easier to compile good information abou
a smaller aspect of a topic than it is to try to get good
information about all aspects of the topic.
