Civil engineering is a branch of engineering course, a professional discipline dealing with

designing, constructing as well as maintenance of the physical and the naturally built
environment. Civil engineering is not an easy course. Especially for me that I took none STEM
strand during my SHS. Probably means that my course is not aligned to strand that I finished in
SHS. But I push to take civil engineering towards the difficulties that I may encounter. My
course requires a lot of hard works and dedication. TIP is one of the famous school when it
comes to engineering courses. It holds some of the bigger accreditation in engineering industry.
This course “Understanding the self “helps me through a lot by knowing all my capabilities and
deeply get to know who really I am. UTS course will have the great impact for me to gain the
TIP graduate attributes. Like Critical thinking skills, UTS help me to be more efficient in solving
problems and make my decision appropriate by thinking properly. Another is the communication
skills, also with UTS course it helps me to boost my confident in socializing with other people
and apply my communication skills through speaking using English language sometimes. Next
attribute that I gained is the lifelong learning. Also with help of this course we can share to other
people on what we learned in finding the true self and knowing the self. Because we learn
already on how to get deeply the real me. Next in line are the social and ethical responsibility,
productivity and interpersonal skills. Those are the other attribute that I get after I finish the UTS
course. As for final UTS course for me is my ladder to know myself very well because it deals
with self so all the lesson and ideas of the course are all related to self. So in return we can really
know the real self of us after we finished this course.

TIP is one of the best school that can provide skills such as critical thinking skills,
communication skills etc. As time goes by at the end of our journey here in TIP and achieves all
of that skills we can proudly said that we are ready for the real battle of life which is working out
on our different fields of specialization. So that how Civil Engineering course helps and change
our life into brighter and purposeful.
