DEAR MRS. KING,

I am a soon-to-be graduate nurse who is eager to begin my lifelong nursing career

focused on diabetes, and I aspire to start my career at Primary Children’s Hospital
on the Children’s Medical Unit.

As a Type 1 Diabetic, I have been heavily involved in diabetes education,

promotion, and community-building. My goal is to become a Certified Diabetes
Educator and help newly diagnosed diabetics adjust to their new lifestyle. I find my
passion in teaching others about this disease and clarifying the many
misunderstandings that people have. I know that my passion for diabetes, my
extensive volunteer experience, and my clinical nursing experience qualify me as
an ideal candidate for a position on the medical unit.

I have gained both inpatient and outpatient nursing experience through my clinical
rotations on several hospital units, clinical rotations with different community
health nurses, and my preceptorship clinicals on Dixie Regional Medical Center’s
Cardiovascular Unit.

I look forward to discussing my opportunity to work at Primary Children’s

Hospital. To schedule an interview, please call me at (208)-317-7259 or email me
at romeejay@gmail.com. The best times to reach me are between 10 am and 3 pm.
If I cannot get to the phone, please leave a message and I will get back as soon as I
can. I hope to get a call or email within the next two weeks. I will reach out again if
I have yet to hear back.

Thank you for reviewing my resume. I look forward to setting up an interview.

Sincerely,

Romee Johnson
