Instructional Math Lesson: Connect-
This week we have been talking about coins and last night I noticed my dad took
the coins out of his pocket and put them on the kitchen table. Give me a thumbs
up if you have seen some coins around your house? Tell your partner where you’ve
seen them.
I’m so glad you have seen them around your house! Today we are going to practice
describing each coin and their value so at the end you can help me figure out what
coins my dad had and how much they are worth!

Word splash/anchor chart as whole class.
-use of popsicle sticks to show coin name
