Mahogany seed extract as lice treatment shampoo is very important and useful to people who has

lice, it can help them to reduce the itchiness of their heads and also useful to dogs. We all know

that dogs also have lice and it causes extreme itchiness to their body. The researchers conducted

an experiment to help reduce the amount of lice in a human head or an animal’s body, and to also

help reduce the itchiness by using a natural and healthy extract. We used a 100 grams of

mahogany seed, 15 ml of tap water, 35 ml of liquid hand soap, and 500ml of coconut milk. To

get the final product, the researchers first blended the mahogany seeds and added the 15ml water

to get the extract, after getting the extract the researchers added the extract to the 35ml liquid

hand soap, after add the mixture to the 500ml coconut milk then stir it thoroughly to distribute

the mahogany seed thoroughly. The experiment was successful after it was tested in a dog's lice.

We found out the result after a minute waiting for the dog's lice to die. We then found out that

the Mahogany Seed Extract Lice Treatment Shampoo was effective and successful. This natural

hair treatment shampoo is very helpful and useful, you can get rid of your lice in just a minute by

using this natural shampoo without any health risks.

Lice has been a problem for many generations. As this insect can be very infectious since it can

be passed from one person to another by just simply the touching of hair. These insects can cause

extensive itchiness to the head and as there are no actual health risk to having them, they can still

be a hassle to the people who have them. Lice can also give you sleeping problems as the itch on

your head can give you difficulty in sleeping. These insects are also very hard to get rid of

especially their eggs, which stick to a strand of hair. It can be very difficult to get rid of from

people with long hair. The researchers have given insight towards this problem to eliminate this

problem by using this study to be able to help people get rid of lice from their hair to give them

relief from itchiness.

Statement of the Problem:

Having lice can be very hard to solve, especially when most shampoos have no effect at all and

some can even damage your hair. The irritation of having itches all over your head is also an

issue that needs to be resolved, especially when these insects can spread so easily and could get

people infected so easily. So conducting this study can help lessen the population of people who

have lice living on their heads.

Using an organic and natural lice treatment shampoo is very important. Since it is organic, it

does not have chemicals like in some lice shampoos that can damage your hair. It also helps the

person with the problem with the insects on their head to lessen it. This Mahogany Seed

Treatment Shampoo can be very useful and eco-friendly.

Scope and Delimitation:

This shampoo can be an essential for people who desire to get rid of their lice. Using it

moderately is fine, but don’t use too much on the skin, hair and any body part, as some of the

Mahogany a large tropical tree with a symmetrical appearance, best-known for its valuable

heartwood. The tree is also appreciated as a beautiful and useful street tree. A fast-growing,

graceful, straight-trunked, semi-deciduous tree growing to 30-70ft. Most trees, particularly

planted street trees grow to 30-40ft. It loses its leaves just as new leafs sprout, so while

deciduous, the tree is not without leaves for long. Tiny flowers are followed by 4-5", woody

fruits that burst open to expel the seeds. Mahogany is a valuable hardwood and this tree was once

extensively harvested for its wood. A related tree, S. macrophylla, now provides most

commercial mahogany. The tree also makes an excellent street tree specimen in warmer climates

as is popular for this purpose. Miami, Florida has numerous mahogany trees planted throughout

the city for this purpose. The termites are a group of eusocial insects usually classified at the

taxonomic rank of order Isoptera (but see also taxonomy below). Along with ants and some bees

and wasps which are all placed in the separate order Hymenoptera, termites divide labor among

gender lines, produce overlapping generations and take care of young collectively. Termites

mostly feed on dead plant material, generally in the form of wood, leaf litter, soil, or animal

dung, and about 10% of the estimated 4,000 species (about 2,600 taxonomically known) are

economically significant as pests that can cause serious structural damage to buildings, crops or

plantation forests. Termites are major detritivores, particularly in the subtropical and tropical

regions, and their recycling of wood and other plant matter is of considerable ecological

importance. Their role in bioturbation on the Khorat Plateau is under investigation.

millimeters) of the scalp should be treated — even if you find only one — to prevent the

possibility of hatching. Nits that are farther away from the scalp are probably from an old

infestation, but should be removed to prevent a recurrence.

Mahogany (S. macrophylla) provides a number of functions including as shade for coffee and

cacao trees, in making furniture such as cabinets, doors and decorative borders and medicines.

Mahogany contains flavonoids and saponins and because of these compounds, mahogany’s parts

can be used as vitamins and drugs to reduce high blood pressure, hypertension, blood sugar

disorder and fever. This plant is quite bitter and it has antipyretic and antifungal property.

Additionally, most parts of the mahogany tree such as leaves, barks, and seeds can be used for

controlling and killing insects and pests like mosquitoes, cockroaches, flies, moths, beetles,

termites, and ants which may be harmful to people and can also destroy some of the plants and

trees and their surroundings [1]. Termites belong to the group of insects (Isoptera), consisting of

2,600 species and 281 genera and it can be found in a vast range of terrestrial environments all

over the world [2]. Macrotermes gilvus are social insects living in colonies comprised of a king,

queen andsoldiers. The king and their queen perform the reproductive functions of the colony,

while the workers carry on all aspects of colony maintenance [3]. Termites are one of the most

damaging insects and they are known as pest all over the world. They are destructive in both

agricultural and industrial field, causing heavy destruction yearly [4].

Methodology

Procedure:

First peel the mahogany seeds and place them in one container (100 grams). Place all seeds in a

blender and then blend it for about 3-5 minutes until everything is crushed. After, get a little

amount of extract of the mahogany seed then pour it in a container. Next, pour the 35 ml of

liquid soap in a container. Then pour a 500ml of coconut milk on a container. Pour and mix all

the ingredients together in a jar. Mix the solution thoroughly until all the ingredients are mixed

together properly.

Results and Discussion

The product or result of the experiment of the mahogany seeds that the researchers have

conducted is a mahogany lice treatment shampoo. The product was tested on a dogs lice. The

researchers pulled out 3 lice on a dog’s fur then placed it in a cover of a container. We poured a

small amount of the product to the dog tics. It was observed it for a minute then the results we

got was successful. The lice on the container were no longer moving, in other words they were

dead caused by the shampoo tested. And if it weren’t for the shampoo the lice would have been

alive till now since those lice could live without its host for about 3 days.

Mahogany seed extract treatment shampoo is very useful and helps reduce lice without any

health risks and without damaging your hair. The shampoo can also be used for pets which is

very helpful and safe for them since it is organic. It is conducted to reduce the amount of lice and

to reduce the itchiness in a human's head and an animal’s body. This shampoo is healthy and

natural that it won't give some health risks or scalp problems, and is good for the environment

since it is eco-friendly. By the use of this shampoo, you can get rid of the extensive itchiness in

your head cause by those insects.

Recommendation

The researchers strongly recommend this product because the ingredients are more natural and

healthy than normal shampoo with its chemicals. It is also safer to use for human lice and pet lice

without any health risks. But applying it on the hair, nails and especially on your skin for too

much use can lead to something bad. Researchers recommend this for a safer and natural lice

remover.
