1. Why is a good theory good from a practical point of view?


Practical means that it’s respectful of the people and resources necessary to project, so
therefore abides by being ‘good’.

Good theory can be tested over time, testing by following a good theory so test is less
convoluted, cost effective.

2. When generating a research question involving human participants, what ethical


consideration should a researcher think about?
Ensuring the research isn’t invasive, illegal, personally disturbing or dangerous to
participants. It must consider how the research will appear to participants.
e.g. Stanford Prison experiment

1. When writing up any research investigation, what must the author do concerning key
concepts?
The author must ensure they have clearly and as simply as possibly defined his/her key
concepts. Must be measurable.

2. Why is carefully designed measurement so important to carrying out good studies?


Enable researchers to make Systematic examples about the world around them.

Standard deviation and variance.

2. If two variables have a positive correlation, can a researcher say there is a causal
relationship?
No, as a correlation is a measure of correlation nor causation.
