NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION

TO:

PROJECT:
Campus Center Renovation and Expansion, Phase IIB
Recreation Center
UHM 06-223B2

SCOPE OF WORK:
Honolulu Builders, Inc. will be performing construction work for this project, which includes a new
2 story recreation center at the Diamond Head side of Campus Center, and related renovations of
the existing Campus Center building. The new facility will include a multi-purpose gymnasium, an
indoor jogging track, a fitness center for cardiovascular and weight training, multi-purpose fitness
studios, locker rooms and showers.

The scope of work includes site work, such as removal and relocation of landscaping, demolition
of sidewalks, and relocation of underground utilities.

The new facility will house a comprehensive recreation program that includes leisure, intramural
and recreational sports. The addition of the Recreation Center will add significant activities to the
existing Campus Center to enhance the quality of student life.

DURATION OF WORK:
Monday, December 20, 2010 – December 2012.

HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION:
7:00 am to 3:30 pm

ACCESSIBLE ROUTES:
Access will be maintained to the existing Campus Center building. Please refer to the following

ADVISORY:
The work will significantly affect pedestrian and vehicular traffic to and around Campus Center.
The Contractor will construct barricades and signs to protect and redirect pedestrians and traffic.

Vehicular traffic from Correa Road to Krause Circle will be restricted to one lane. Access will be
limited to parking permit holders, service and emergency vehicles only.

The project team appreciates your patience, understanding, and cooperation to help maintain a
safe environment during construction.
