INDIVIDUAL REPORT

This project name IPAC that supervised by YBhg. Dato’ Prof A. Razak
Hj Mohaideen and my lecturer for Digital Film and Television Pre-Production,
Sir Azlan Shah (Mr Chill). This project actually falls under subject Digital Film
and Television Pre-Production. I believe the main reason why this project exist-
ed and Mr Chill puts us to work together is because he wants us to get closer
with each other. In addition, I believe that Mr Chill wants us to have collabora-
tion and sit together to handle this event together. It really working because I
have learn a lot from this event. I know that his main objective is he does not
want his lecture is only on going in the class which he thinks that might get us
feel bored. So that is why he puts us together into IPAC project. This project
also taught us to understand and get the experience to working into real indus-
tries, I get knowledge how to handle an event how to manage it. I believe this is
the beginning that really helps us to understand the struggle and gain knowl-
edge about to handle an event. We just started to handle a small event, maybe
with this experience and knowledge we can handle a big event next time.
As weeks pass by, Mr Chill told in the class, where we were going to get
into IPAC. I felt very excited because this project was the first mini project for
me and not to forget we have combined with other classes from different pro-
gram and different semester to build and make a short film, this also the reason
why I’m to excited.
A few days had past, my team that came from Mr Chill class met with
the whole teammates for the first time of discussion. Even though I was a little
bit scared but I had set in mind that I went here to gain knowledge and get to
know deeper about this field. I can make friends with others. I do not mind
what are their age, I still can be friend. My IPAC team from Mr Chill’s class,
Hannatul Alia (Hanna).During a pre-production process, we have had a first
meeting that we divide the task. I’m working for dion Arnold which is one of
my classmate as a crew of facilities department. Such an honour while working
with him, he such a great Head of Department (HOD).
When the first day that we need to bump in the equipment, dion ask all
of his crew to help other department to loaded the equipment. We going to De-
wan Agong Tuanku Censelor (DATC), to bump in all IPAC equipment, we go-
ing there by bus that UITM transport. On morning that we need to go there I’m
little bit surprise when I saw there is a lot of FITA student take their que to get
in the bus. We take about 15 minutes to arrive at DATC, and what my HOD just
told us to unloaded to equipment. As a facilities department we need to prepare
all the stuff that we need on IPAC booth, such as chair, table and so on. Not to
forget after we done our part we lend our hand to help the technical department
and decoration department as well. It Wonderfull that I can learn a lot of thing
there. Such as decoration, I never imagine that I need to decorate something, a
little knowledge from technical team.
On first day event made my day, bacause I need to wake up early
morning because I don’t want miss the first trip to going to DATC by UITM
transport. I’m not usually use the public transport, and it make me little dizzy,
but It experience I need to throught it. There is nothing on first day because it
only the day that Karyaone-21 opening ceremony, we as a facilities department
have done our task during pre protection process. Then we make dicison to help
any department that need our help such as publicity department, technical de-
partment, decoration department and also protocol department. In the end of
that day, on 11;00pm we need to wrap, prepare and make some improvise in-
term of decoration because at first it little bit messy. But there is small matter,
we have improve the decoration for the next day.
The next days of IPAC and Karyaone-21 as well, we start on the morn-
ing by prepare again for IPAC program that started at 10:30am. We take a few
pieces of IPAC flyers from HOD of publicity department to help them promote
our program and watch the final product that were made by our senior in se-
mester 3. We also help technical team to prepare the LCD projector to present
the seven short film, during the event we can learn the flow how communica-
tion works. Honestly we do not have any problem interm of commmunication.
Every just working very well,well, from the beginning and in the end of the
day. As our routine we need to wrap it again on 11:00pm, days two of IPAC
event was very fun.
Last day on IPAC and Karyaone-21 event. Still we do the same routine
which is we need to take care of our booth by promote to them to visit our
booth, serve them nicely, persuade and offer audience to watch our short film. It
was an easy task for us, but on the last day of our event we need to wrap our
booth early because there is a little problem. Then we wrap it and directly trans-
fer our IPAC equipment into the lorry where we loaded our stuff. We can called
it bump out, every department work together to bump out all of the equipment.
On 11:00pm which the end of Karyaone-21, we have gather on the left
side of DATC which manic the one who handle bump in and bump out process
brief us to work to together to loaded all the equipment into the lorry. Last but
not least after that lorry arrive at Campus Uitm Puncak Perdana half of us un-
loaded the equipment to the black box which is store.
As a conclusion, it really challenging for me because it was my first time
to handle an event. The most important thing I got a lot of thing during the
whole day IPAC event. Thank you to Mr. Chill for giving us a chance to handle
our event by ourself.
