To Whom It May Concern:

I had the privilege of educating Samaria Gregorio in her second semester medical and surgical clinical
rotation. I knew immediately upon meeting her that she is going to make a great nurse someday. She has an
aptitude for learning and retaining pathophysiology, Samaria excelled at utilization of evidence-based
nursing processes, and she has a great bedside manner that patients found approachable. Samaria is a hard
worker and is a great fit to be a part of a nurse residency program and ultimately to be placed in a critical
care nursing environment.

Samaria exemplifies the attributes that a young ICU nurse should have. She is hard working and motivated to
learn. She will always be memorable as a student for her relentless pursuit of perfection while completing
bedside nursing skills and her ability to receive feedback, and then implement the feedback. She is a Wildcat
Excellence Scholarship Award, Silver and Sage Award, and CDH Charitable Foundation Award recipient.
She also has over 270 clinical hours in our local ICU or critical care environments. She is a well-rounded
individual that has a sincere dedication to the nursing profession.

When Samaria is not studying, she enjoys traveling, hiking, finding local coffee shops, and walking with her
dog. She has life balance that allowed her to always came to clinical prepared to work hard, contribute to
group discussions, and engage with her patients. I know she will continue this exemplary work ethic.

Being a part of a nursing residency program will assist Samaria in obtaining her dream of becoming an ICU
or Emergency Medicine/Trauma nurse and there is not a more deserving candidate of a slot in your
residency. Samaria will become the kind of nurse that will integrate into a multidisciplinary team and really
collaborate with her peers to provide top quality, patient-centered care.

I ask that you consider Samaria Gregorio for your residency program. She is exactly the type of student that
embodies all of the core principles that make becoming a health care professional so special.

Very Respectfully,
