2 Introduction

Generator protection is a very complex system with many different protective functions. In
the Test
Universe (TU) software there are no dedicated test modules for these functions. Therefore it is
necessary to create test procedures using the standard test modules in the OMICRON
CONTROL
CENTER (OCC). For this the potential overlapping of the activated protective functions has to
be
taken into account.
3 Defining the Test Object
Here only the general data of the device to be tested are entered. The device settings can be
extended in the specific test modules if necessary.
The protective relay 7UM622 V4.62 supports the data export in the XRIO-Format. Therefore it
is
useful to create an XRIO-File with all protective functions. Afterwards only the valid relay
settings need
to be imported or entered.
