in Siphon2 (Sta. 4+340-4+460).
2. DW-JDL-19-00278 dated October 25, 2019 – Response Letter to Submission of Method
Statement of Cofferdam Siphon 2, Sta. 4+340 – 4+460 Contract No. JRMP II-ICB-C-1.

We refer to the above letters and respond as follows:

1. Prior to the commencement of the cofferdam activity we have submitted the MS, but we did
not receive any comments or official document if it is approved to this date.
2. The Design for the GFC drawings for cofferdam is not applicable to actual site condition along
Alibunan River. The redesign for the invert level for Siphon #2 is lower than the previous GFC
drawings which makes the water pressure at the slope areas during excavation greater in
addition to strong water current during heavy rain making the GFC design prone to scouring or
being washed out.
