3Days Training, Lahore

Timely integration and knowledgeable application of Human Factors Engineering principles and
techniques throughout the project lifecycle is vital to achieving optimal human performance and
safety in any complex system. It is also vital in identifying risks and effective control measures
implemented to mitigate those risks, evidence of which is documented in the Safety Case.

There is an increasing emphasis on the importance of managing human factors – how the people, the
job and the organization interact as a whole – to achieve improved safety and business performance
in the chemical process industries.

This course is aimed at providing a high level overview of the topic of human factors, with particular
focus on major accident hazards. The course will be a combination of PowerPoint presentation, video,
hands-on workshop and discussion.

Following the course, attendees will have an awareness of the subject and will be able to identify
some practical interventions they can make at their workplace to improve the management of human
factors in relation to the control of major accident hazard risks
