INTRODUCTION
Communication is a very essential part of human existence, it is defined as the process of
using words , sound etc. to express ideas, it can also be regarded as a process by which
information is exchange. Back in ancient times when there were no modern means of
communication , communication was very limited in the sense that communication could not
extend outside a geographical area , so many means were deployed like smokes , letters etc so as
to pass messages around. Many of these methods had so many disadvantage such as lateness ,
misinterpretation of information , etc. , which may sometimes have serious consequences.

Through the advancement of technology, information are passed faster and more accurately , and
one of the most popular amongst modern communication is the use of Telecommunication which
involves sending audio waves over a distance to a receiver on the other end capturing these
signals and transforming it to valuable information. Most of these signals are not suitable for
direct transmission, Therefore for a signal to be transferred properly it needs to be modulated.

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

The lack of transmission system in any society will lead to a slow growth and can even be very
disastrous as vital like saving information will not be able to be passed around , Availability of
transmission has made it possible for anyone to send messages to anyone in any part of the
planet.

There might be urgent need for an information to be passed to a group of people without any
delay, only telecommunication can make this possible , For instance , the need for the
government to pass critical information about the global pandemic it would be easily
accomplished through telecoms

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

The aim of the project is to be able to activate an FM transmitter that is capable of transmitting
audio signal that will be receivable by an FM radio within a 40km radius.

Objective;

 To activate an FM transmitter

The primary objective is to activate an FM transmitter that is capable of transmitting audio

signals that will be then used to transmit critical information to rural areas who do not have
access to the Internet.

 To transmit signals with no distortion

To be able to transmit information effectively an FM transmitter that has no distortion is needed

so as to make sure information are dispersed properly so that anybody tuned in will be able to
hear what the information being passed at the moment so as not to miss vital information.

 To transmit at a frequency within the commercial band

When a radio frequency is transferred within a commercial band it simply means that anybody
would be able to access information as long as he/she is tuned in, without any form of
restrictions so that information can be spread more effectively to people in a given geographical
area

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

When the project is activated, it will able to transmit audio signal within a geographical area and
this signal would be receivable by any FM radio receiver.

CLIENT REQUIREMENTS

4
.

The FM transmitted is aimed at people in the rural areas, so for the project to be effective the
project must meet the following requirements.

1. Must be able to transmit without distortion.

2. Must be able to operate within the commercial frequency band.

3. Must be able to send audio signal that is receivable by any receiver without distortion

4. Must be able to transmit across a 40km radius..

PROJECT PLAN

The project will be executed in the phases

1. Acquisition phase

2. Deployment phase

Acquisition phase

At this stage af the project all necessary equipment that is going to be used to implement the
project will be gotten , equipment include the transmitter , antenna , cables etc , The transmitter
is going to be imported from a Chinese company on aliexpress , the company is going to be
thoroughly check so as to avoid fake or substandard products.

Deployment phase

At this stage all materials gotten would be taken to a designated location to be installed and set
up with proper testing to ensure that everything runs smoothly
