Goal Organization
1. When setting the goals and
expectations for your class there
are several different ways of going
about getting your desires across.
For me personally I like the
intermixing throughout the first
week idea. The first day many
teachers will just read their list of
rules and expectations. I want to
get my student engaged in learning
more about each other and
intermix teaching them the rules
throughout that first week.

2. For me personally I think that
organization of desks in the
classroom is very important. I
would like the desks to be facing
the front of the room, and be
organized in a way that students
can work in groups. Being able to
work with others is a huge asset to
have in the future in almost every
job. Having a seating chart is not
that important to me unless the
students struggle to pay attention
without one.
3. In Goodrich I see how the school
itself has some organization between the
grade levels. There are different areas
for 6th graders and 7th graders from
what I have seen. This reminds me that
even at close age levels there can still be
a gap in maturity level. My observing
teacher uses the front organizer in his
classroom to place worksheets for that
day's class. It helps him remember what
needs to be done that day and to hand
them out. One teacher I saw had a turn
in tray in the back of the classroom for
each of their classes. I think this is
helpful in organizing both for yourself
and the students.
