13. Solution Overview

The OmniPCX Enterprise Communication Server provides a unique and secure backup
mechanism when mission critical applications require high resiliency. Communication
Server redundancy (duplication) allows a switch over from one communication server to
its mirrored communication server through an IP link.
The proposed Telephony Solution is based on Alcatel OmniPCX as core communication
platform which supports mix of IP, Digital & Analog phones. System provides PSTN
connectivity via ISDN & CO Trunks for incoming or outgoing calls. The proposed system
will be an expansion to the existing system running at Raffles Dubai which will be
integrated to establish a centralized Communication Server for existing and new site.

Proposed system also provides standard features like Auto-Attendant, Music-on-Hold,

Voicemail, Call Hold, Transfer, Conference etc along with the interfacing to PMS (check-
in, check-out, Guest Name), Hospitality Grade Voicemail System.

MALL(PHASE 8)

It also includes the Call Center package with Voice Call Recording and Wall-Board for
Calls Statistics to Call Center.
PC Based Operators have been proposed (including PCs & Headsets) for the Operators.
It is a multimedia professional attendant solution, allowing the attendant to switch
between telephony applications and Windows applications at any time.
• An IP attendant console for the OmniPCX Enterprise Communication Server
including:
o An associated Premium Desk Phone set used for voice (IP or TDM)
o The IP Attendant Application running on a standard PC
o An optional Busy Lamp Field (BLF) application, running on a standard
PC
o An ergonomic telephony keyboard with LEDs, shortcut keys, and USB
connection
