Journal

Over the past few weeks, I have found several articles to do a meta-cognitive analysis on.

I sent these articles to my advisor to review to make sure that they are worthwhile articles. In the

next few days, I should receive the articles back, and based on that I can either use them or find

better ones. I am confident that the articles I used will be good articles. After completing the data

collection I will finish editing my paper as well as add the data found from my meta-cognitive

analysis. After I have edited my paper, I plan on sending those edited papers to the experts in the

field such as Dr. Bharat B. Aggarwal, Dr. Sahdeo Prasad, and others like them. This should give

me a high chance of getting published. I will also finish the other pages of my website although I

am unsure of what the schedule will be since the next 2 weeks of school are canceled.

Over the past few weeks, I have finished the final draft of my outline and refurbished it

with Maisha’s, a leadership student, comments. In the next few days, I should have my paper

edited by my advisor, which will help elevate my paper to a very high level and conform to a

medical standard. After my paper edits my paper, I plan on sending those edited papers to the

experts in the field such as Dr. Bharat B. Aggarwal, Dr. Sahdeo Prasad and others like them.

This should give me a high chance of getting published. I have also finished all of my valentines,

which was a good opportunity to express my appreciation and show gratitude towards my

teachers. I also need to complete my Data Collection Part II. But, the PowerPoint helped me

understand it better.

Over the past few weeks, I have finished the first draft of my outline and refurbished it

with my mother’s comments. It was nice to have someone look at it from a reader’s perspective

that isn’t completely in this specific field, although she is a nurse, she hasn’t been researching

cancer which gave me a sense as to how everyday people would respond and look at my

research. In the next coming weeks, I will have my paper edited by a leadership student, which

will help elevate my paper to a very high level. After that, I will show the paper to my advisor

and see if there any other issues that she sees from a medical and knowledgeable perspective.

After those edits, I plan on sending those edited papers to the experts in the field such as Dr.

Bharat B. Aggarwal, Dr. Sahdeo Prasad, and others like them. This should give me a high chance

of getting published.

Over the past week, I was able to interview Dr. Aggarwal in California, one of the

leading authors and experts on curcumin in the medical research family. I asked him several

burning questions that were on my mind such as why there weren’t that many Phase III and IV

trials since they would be extremely beneficial to my research. He explained to me that they

would most likely never exist. Most trials that go that far would be trials of pharmaceutical

companies trying to test their drug and get it approved so that they can start selling it. Since the

motivation is profit, curcumin may not get there since there is very little profitability. I will start

working on my sentence outline in the next few weeks and hopefully have very little trouble with

that.
