1. Expression: “Hacer una vaca con personas”
Example: “Hagamos una vaca para la cerveza”
Meaning: This expression is used to collect money to organize or
pay for something as a group.

2. Expression: “Estar enguayabado”

Example: “Necesito agua porque amanecí enguayabado”
Meaning: This expression is used to said that person’s got a big
hangover.

3. Expression: “Ser berraco”

Example: “Mi mamá es una berraca”
Meaning: This expression means that you are a strong person, a
fighter and you’ve got perseverance.

4. Expression: “Tener filo”

Example: “Almorzaré temprano porque tengo un filo”
Meaning: This expression is used to said that I am extremely hungry
or to said that I am starving.

5. Expression: “Que alguien sea lámpara”

Example: “Ese vecino si es muy lámpara”
Meaning: This expression is used to say that a person is either very
dumb or very stupid.

6. Expression: “Hacer una embarrada o embarrarla”

Example: “Ayer la embarré con mi novio”
Meaning: This expression means making a mistake in your life or
with someone else.
7. Expression: “Que alguien de papaya”
Example: “Me robaron el celular por dar papaya en la calle”
Meaning: This expression means let others take advantage of you or
to make yourself an easy target.

8. Expression: “Hacer algo por si las moscas”

Example: “Voy a guardar este dinero por si las moscas”
Meaning: This expression is used to said “just in case…”, when
you´re not sure if you should do something and then you say, okay
let’s do it just in case.
