CONTENT STANDARDS The learners demonstrate an understanding of:
1. The use of advanced tools and techniques found in common
productivity and software applications in developing ICT
content for specific professional tracks.
2. how to manipulate text, graphics, and images to create ICT
content intended for an online environment
PERFORMANCE At the end of the 2-week period independently apply advanced
STANDARDS productivity tools to create or develop ICT content for use in
specific professional tracks

These may be in the form of, but not limited to:


1. Calculating spread sheet of athletic statistics (Sports)
2. Layout of catalogue of creative works (Arts)
3. Materials/ ingredients projections for batches of baked goods
(Tech- Voc)
4. Letterhead/ business card design (Business/ Academic)

SPECIFIC LEARNING At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:

4. Easily manipulate images using a simple image editor.

2. Motivation: Internet Trivia/ Video Presentation (10 minutes)
3. Instruction/Delivery: Publishing and Basic Image Manipulation (50 minutes)
4. Practice: Jump Starting Your Social Media Campaign (20 minutes)
5. Enrichment: Three Question Survey (20 minutes)

Task #1: Video Presentation
1. Student will form into group. Each group will be task to report the different features of
Microsoft Publisher. Then each group should show one of the special features of Microsoft
Publisher.
2. The teacher will ask each group to demonstrate the special features they’ve discuss.

INSTRUCTION/ DELIVERY
Time Allotment: 20 minutes
Discussion

1. The students will give their prior knowledge about principles and basic techniques of image
manipulation.

2. The teacher will ask the following question:


- What is the principles and basic techniques of image manipulation?
- How can we manipulate images?
- What are the skills we should gain on image editing? And how this skill can help us?
- Why it is important for us to learn imaging and designing for online environment?

PRACTICE
Time Allotment: 10 minutes
TASK #2: Jump Starting Your Social Media Campaign (Group Activity)
1. Students will be divided into groups. Then each group will take a look on an initial plan by
identifying the correct web platform for social change. They need to set up their own website
or a web page by creating Facebook page.
2. Each group must assure that they use the principles of designing when layouting and when
adding content for your page. Once set up try adding content like photographs. Share the
photos using your page.
3. Then it will be check based on the status of your web page.

Task #3: Three Question Survey

1. Students are task to create a short three- question survey for the community members who
are also affected with the problem you are campaigning for. Then each group should ask the
respondents by using a scale of 1-5. Also, they need to ask at least 15 members of the
community to make a strong case to your campaign.
2. Students should create an infographic about the result of their survey and post it on your
campaign site or web page.
