Talking about the past (Irregular Verbs)


1) Watch the following video and identify the verbs in the past:

In the previous lesson, you learnt about the past simple and the regular
verbs in the past. Today, you are going to learn about the irregular verbs
in the past.
Some verbs are regular and we only put D or ED. The name for those
verbs is ‘Regular Verbs’. But, when we have verbs that change
completely or don’t change at all we call them ‘Irregular Verbs’

2) How do we form the past simple using irregular verbs?

3) To know which the irregular verbs are, we have to memorize the


following list. The verbs in infinitive are the verbs in the ‘normal’ way.
The verbs in the second list are in the past form (irregular verbs).
