Week No. 4
Steps followed in practice drawing 1
We set the units in inches and the precision is set at 2 decimals. The limits sets at
(0,0) and (1000, 1000).
After setting the units and precision we draw construction lines and use offset
command to draw a line of 0.045 Inches upward as well as downward.
Again using offset command to draw line of 0.17 on vertical construction line.
After drawing these three lines we draw three circles of radius 1.67 inches, 1.52
inches, and 1.29 inches respectively as shown below
After that we trim the unnecessary part and apply the poly command.
After that use the three-line arc command and join them and trim the other part.
After that we select the one formed gear teeth and use the poly command
Now draw the circle of radius 1 inches, 0.5 inches, and 0.25 inches.
Now draw the rectangle on the circle of radius 0.25 and trim all the other parts
And join the teeth of gear by using blend curves.
In the last step we remove the outer circle and apply the dimensions.
Step followed in practice drawing 2
We set the units in inches and the precision is set at 2 decimals. The limits sets at
(0,0) and (1000, 1000).
After we use copy command and select the object placed on the left side.
We use scale command on the right sided object and scale is set at 0.9 and the size
of the object is reduced.
Now we use the rotate command to rotate it.
After that we use the trim command to trim it.
Now we use the fillet command on the top left side and bottom right side with radii of
30 inches.
Similarly, we use fillet command on the bottom left side and top right side with radii
of 8 inches.
After that we draw a rectangle having length of 40 inches and width of 4 inches.
Using fillet command at the corners of the rectangle with radii of 1 inches.
And place that rectangle at the center with 2 inches downward from top line.
In the last step we apply the dimensions.
