Sub: Scope of Works

Dear Sir,

Reference is invited to our letter No. SHCL/LBDC06B/2014-303 dated January16, 2015 wherein it was
requested to confirm us the final revised scope of work regarding the subject Contract. You will
appreciate that more than 90% lining work has now been completed and all the planned works for
the current canal closure (i.e. for the year2014-2015) have also been executed under the supervision
of your resident staff at Site.

However, execution of outlet structures could not be started as we have not yet been provided any
A-Form in spite of our requests made from time to time. Other rehabilitation works of various
Structures are in progress and hope that it will be completed shortly as per our Programme of
Works. We foresee that original scope of work has been reduced more than 40% of the Accepted
Contract Price. Sir, our Accepted Contract Amount as per letter of acceptance is Rs2177 Million and
we arranged the man-power and other fleet of equipment at Site accordingly keeping in view the
original Scope of Works. It is notable that in spite of our repeated requests for the last one year, our
revised scope of work has not yet been finalized.

It is therefore again requested to please convey us the final revised scope of work within week time
otherwise we will have no option except to reduce/demobilize our excess resources from the Site;
besides claiming the cost incurred on making arrangements/preparatory works so for to execute
various Works under Sub-clause-12.4. Moreover, we have the intension to claim new rates for
certain item of BOQ under Sub-Clause12.3 which will fulfil the conditions stipulated therein due to
huge changes in original scope of Work. We thus, hereby notify under Sub-Clause 20.1 to claim
additional cost associated with the abnormal change in our scope of Work wherever applicable
under the provisions of the Contract.

An early finalization of the revised scope of work will be appreciated.
