Subject: Further detail to our request for EOT of Phase II
Dear Sir,
This refers to your letter ref-TCDSCo/BAP/230/12 dated December 1, 2012,
a response to our letter ref-CRBC/BAP/342/12 dated November 6, 12,
regarding extension of time and revised program.
We have recalculated the delay effect of Variation works following your
comments and the detail is shown on next pages. As you can observe therein,
the total variation works have contributed a total delay of 75 days and 41
days on phase I and Phase II respectively.
The delay effect is calculated following the agreed productivity rate in the
contract cost break down.
As per this revised calculation, we need a total of 116 days of time extension
for variation works only. However, as we have already communicated to you
earlier, 60 days of EOT is adequate for us as far as all other delay factors
indicated in our previous request are accepted from your side.
Though the effect of ROW and accessibility has seriously affected our works,
we have tried to catch-up our plan through other mechanisms like work
acceleration. We hope you will fairly reconsider such and other unforeseeable
factors if we need any more EOT hereafter.
But it is very unlikely as we can observe from our current progress.
In view of the above, we kindly request you to approve our revised work
program with a target completion date of February 10, 2012.
We would also like to confirm once again that CRBC will not request any
financial compensation as a result of this time extension.
