The perspective of psychology that is true for me is the real self and ideal self. Real self is what
we really are, how we think, how we feel, how we look, and how we act. ideal self is what we want
to be and that we feel we are expected to be. It is an idealized image that we have developed over
time based on what we have learned and experienced. in the picture of real self, I can see myself
have a big smile in my face wherein behind those smile there is a pain that will no one know. While in
the other picture is my ideal self, a graduated college student. One of my ideal self is to finish my
college degree and find a job after I graduated. I believe that I can do it despite of many trials that
comes to my life.
One of my experience is when I didn’t pass the entrance exam in Cagayan State University. I lost
hope that time because that is my only way to continue my study in college. My parents was
disappointed to me and because of financial problem and my sister and brother is both graduating
in college so I decided to stop but that decision is hard for me. So I work in 1 year in order to help
my parents and also my sister and brother in their allowance. And then after that I try again taking
the second entrance exam in Cagayan State University, that time I’m very happy because but
suddenly my aunt tell me to take the entrance exam here in Cavite so I grab the opportunity and
in God’s will I also pass the entrance exam. I realize that even if I failed many times, I keep on
going, I didn’t give up. I keep on smiling despite does trials come to me.
