 Describe how the musical elements are used in “Lubi-Lubi”, a Catbaloganon
song.
 Identify the different musical elements used in a Southeast Asian Music such as
the Chan Mali Chan and Burung Kakatua song.

Chan Mali Chan – Singaporean folk song
& Burung Kakatua- Indonesian music

Good morning class! Good morning ma’am!


Okay, you may now take your seats.

Before we proceed to our new topic for this


morning, lets have first an activity.
Okay, we will be going to have an activity
which is what I called “Complete Me”. So I
will give you a half heart shape with an
uncomplete word and then you will be
going to find your pair who can definitely
complete the lacking word that you have
and also to form your heart shape. But, if
your half heart shape does not fit in your
classmate half heart shape, it just only
means to say that you got the wrong pair or
answer.

Okay! Now let’s start.

So, this morning we will be going to tackle
about how to identify the musical elements
in a song such as the tempo, form,
dynamics etc. and to make it easier for you
to understand lets choose and pick a
Waray2x song which is entitled Lubi-Lubi.
I know some of you are familiar with that
song. I am right?
Okay, that’s good to hear!
So, now lets sing the Lubi-Lubi song Yes, Ma’am!
altogether and then after you will be going
to identify its different musical elements.

Asian music which is entitled “Chan Mali
Chan” – a Singaporean folk song & “Burung
Kakatua” an Indonesian music. But before
you sing lets listen first to the music.
