Opening: T shows ss the following picture and ask them about it. Later, the birthday vocabulary is elicited/taught
(birthday cake- balloons- candles- birthday present-birthday card)
Later, we sing it. Moreover, T shows SS some flashcards related with the topic and SS have to say their names.
Having practised them, we play a memory game: T has some flashcards stuck on a board turned over separated into
two groups (1-5 and A-E) ss have to choose one number and one letter and T turns them over, if the pictures
coincide, they score a point (girls vs boys)
Closing: Ss draw the presents they want to receive on their next birthday

After that, T shows Ss the following weather flashcards and SS have to say their names
Closing: Ss open their copy books and write the date, the weather (T asks them: What’s the weather like today? - It’s
sunny ) and the title
