First Class Work to be completed from Monday 8th -12th June 2020:

This is an outline of work to be completed this week. I will continue to send on


some work through seesaw, these updates will mainly be just videos explaining
and modelling work in the plan. As always please feel free to get in touch if you
have any questions or feedback and send me on photos of their work so I can
give them feedback. Please do not feel under pressure to get all this work
completed.

Maths:

Mental Maths Book: do one day every day.

Continue with www.topmarks.co.uk learning games.

Cracking Maths: Check up page 156 I would appreciate it if you send me on a


photo of this page when they have it completed so I can see how they have been
getting on.

According to my records they have finished all the other chapters in their
cracking maths at this stage, so we are just left with revision, any pages that
are not completed (maybe due to absence) they can do this week.

Tables: Revise +6/-6

English:

English in Practice: Do one day every day

Phonics: Sounds in Action Book, do next three pages this week

Reading: Work on the next story and activities in the book Two Little Frogs.
(some children may have finished this book already)

Story: Listen to the story ‘Harry the Dirty Dog’ on www.storylineonline.net

- I want you to look at the story in three parts, the beginning the middle
and the end. Can you draw a picture from the beginning of the story and
write a caption to go with it, a picture from the middle of the story and
write a caption to go with it and a picture from the end of the story and
write a caption to go with it.
- Write a book report on this story (I will send on a format on seesaw)
Spellings: Spelling list for this week are the ‘ir’ words. This is the list below,
if children could write the list into their spelling copy:

Please learn three spellings every day and orally put the words into sentences.

Handwriting: Continue to work on handwriting, try to do 2 pages this week and


try to do joined writing when you are doing your written work .

In your copy:

Page 132: read the words at the top of the page and fill in the blanks

Page 133: Read the comhrá at the top of the page and listen to it online.

Page 134: In your copy draw a box for ‘lá te’ and ‘lá fuar’, draw the correct
clothes in each box.

Page 135: see can you find the words in the wordsearch, no need to write this
out into copy.
S.E.S.E.:

Taking Care of your Pet :

- Draw a picture of your pet in your SESE copy and write his name
underneath, write a list of five things you do for your pet regularly to
take care of it, like in the story about Dirty Harry, the owners gave
Harry a bath to take care of him.
- Think of a pet that you would really like to have, this can be any pet you
like, could even be a snake!!!! a crocodile!!!! a parrot!!!!
- Now I want you to research what this pet would need, food, shelter,
medicine, etc.
- Write a shopping list of everything you would need if you were going to
get this pet.

Art:

Junk Art: Use junk from your recycling bin to build a dream home for your pet,
you might want to include some funny features like a swimming pool, a slide, a
Jacuzzi.
