C. Motivation
Give examples of Haiku, Tanka, Tanaga, and Diona
Questions:
1. What have you observe in the given examples?
2. Differentiate the four example poems?

D. Activity
Group Activity:
. The class is divided into 4 groups. Each group are given a sample
poem and discus impressions of the poem. Each group will create
their own Haiku, Tanka, Tanaga and Diona and they will choose
one member to present their work.

E. Analysis What is Haiku, Tanka, Tanaga, and Diona?


Differentiate the form and expression of Haiku, Tanka, Tanaga,
and Diona?
Give example of Haiku, Tanka, Tanaga and Diona,

F. Abstraction
What is Haiku, Tanka, Tanaga, and Diona?
Compare and contrast Eastern poetic forms and Western poetic
forms.

G. Application
Choose any from the Eastern poetic form and make ur own Hauku,
tanka, tanaga, and diona?

IV. EVALUATION Compose a Haiku or Tanka in English, or Tanaga or Diona in


Filipino. Follow as much as possible the qualities of these traditional
eastern forms of poetry: the evocative imagery and the powerful but
restrained emotions of the Japanese haiku and tanka, or the metaphorical
richness and fixed rhyme schemes of the Tagalog tanaga or Diona.

V. ASSIGNMENT Compose a Haiku or Tanka in English, or Tanaga or Diona in Filipino.
