Directions
 Know the following definitions: Cardinal
 How to Tell Directions?
Directions, Compass, Intermediate

Directions, and the Compass rose.

 Learn how to tell directions during the day

and the night.

 Learn how to tell directions if the weather

is cloudy.

Second Quarter

Students expected to know the following

objectives by the end of this quarter:

 Know the following definitions: Peninsula.

 Know the countries of the Arabian

Peninsula.
 The Arab Countries
 Know the borders of the Arabian
 Countries of the Arabian
Peninsula Peninsula.

 Borders of the Arabian Peninsula

Third Quarter

Students expected to know the following


 Learn about Earth
objectives by the end of this quarter:
 As Earth Goes Round
 Know the following definitions: Equator,
 Weather and Climate
sphere, Northern Hemisphere, Southern
 Land and Water
Hemisphere, axis, weather, and climate.

 Learn that there are four seasons a year:

Spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

 Know the following definitions: Peninsula,

gulf, spring, rainforest, island, oasis,

desert, and waterfall.

Fourth Quarter

Students expected to know the following

objectives by the end of this quarter:

 Know the following definitions: Pangaea,

 Changes Through Time Panthalassa, and transportation.

 How Old Is Planet Earth?  Know that people, long ago, did not have

 Transportation cars, airplanes or trains.

 Know that when the wheel was invented,

transportation became easier.

 Know some information about the means

of transportation in the past.

 Know some information about some

modern means of transportation.
