Course Title : HOUSEKEEPING NC II


Nominal Duration : 436 Hours
Qualification Level : NC II
Course Description : This course consist of competencies that a person
must achieve to to be able to clean equipment ,
tools and utensils and prepare, portion and plate
pastries, breads and other dessert items to guests
in hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs, canteens,
resorts and luxury lines/cruises and other related
operations.

Qualification of
Instructors/Trainers :
● Must be a national TVET Trainer Certificate I (TMI and NC)
● Must be physically fit
● Have at least 2 years relevant job/industry experience
● Must be a holder of a Certificate of Competency in Developing e-Learning Materials
for E-Learning or any appropriate training certificate as an evidence of trainers
competency in facilitating online training or Certificate in Facilitating Flexible E-
Learning Session

Monitoring and Grading System 

Built-in LMS Monitoring System such as logs reports, activity reports, and
gradebook shall be utilized to track the attendance and learning progress of the
trainees for the online training. The activity completion tracker shall be enabled
for the participants to monitor their own progress.

Result of the face to face evaluation for the practical demonstration requirement
shall be uploaded and integrated into the system to generate the overall rating.

Institutional Assessment System /Assessment Method

The following assessment methods shall be used for assessing the competency of
participants:

Portfolio assessment – This refers to the housekeeping forms that will be utilized
during the conduct of face-to-face institutional assessment.

Computer based test – This is composed of multiple choice test given online. The
computer based test shall only be opened to a particular Trainee scheduled for
assessment during a designated time. If the Trainee failed to take the test during
the designated time, he should notify the online mentor for another schedule of
test. A trainee should be able to get at least 80% of the correct answers to pass
the test.

Practical Demonstration (Face to Face) – Demonstration of skill/situation based


on the competency standard showing steps or process used to provide required
housekeeping services.
