Are we having fun yet?!?

Unlike June’s rained-out Alive At Five in downtown
Glasgow, weather for Wednesday evening’s family-
oriented event was absolutely perfect. These kids took a
quick time out from playing Cornhole for a snappy-snap.
The music was blaring out of the Glasgow Chamber
of Commerce & Agriculture’s new stage trailer, the
Glasgow Elks Lodge #1922 crew was serving up some
great barbecue, the Jump-N-Buck Ice Cream Truck was
a Hump Day favorite, and everybody had a super good
time. The next Hump Day and Alive At Five, sponsored
by the Glasgow Downtown Association, will be held on
Wednesday, August 19th. See ya there!

Our Second Amendment is under direct attack as
well by those unfriendly folks at the United Nations. Here’s
what I know about that.
Rand Paul is a well-known and respected Republican
U.S. Senator from Kentucky, (he and I went to different
school together), sent me a letter warning of the UN’s
desire to un-gun the United States citizenry with their bill
“Small Arms Treaty.”
“In fact they plan to force it into law regardless of
who’s in the White House” says Paul. We cannot allow that
to happen.
To explain the “Treaty” UN officials have issued some
introductory language to describe what’s in the “Treaty.”
“Mandated national screening for those seeking to
own guns” which gives the bureaucrats the final say on
whether or not you are “competent” enough to own a gun.
“Restrictive licensing for gun and ammo sales” which
as Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for
Gun Rights says will “perhaps even ban certain firearms
and may include anything from semi-automatic rifles to
shotguns and handguns.”
“Restrictions on the number of firearms and the
amount of ammo a ‘properly licensed’ individual may
legally own.”
Bans on magazines holding more than ten rounds
and finally but not entirely, bans on owning a firearm for
self-defense.....unless a citizen (or should that be comrade)
can somehow demonstrate need and get government
approval.
“Remember the Alamo? Nope!!! Remember pre-

Brown also mentioned that President Trump has
asked the Senate to return the document “Small Arms
Treaty” to him at the White House and he will properly
“dispose” of it. Knowing Mr. Trump as we do we know
what “dispose” means in his poetic vocabulary! Good on
ya’ Mr. Trump.
So the best you and I can do is to contact Senator
Daines and tell him you strongly oppose the Treaty and
that you strongly support Rand Paul’s bill (S.Res.204) now
in the Senate. Daines will do what’s right and oppose the
treaty....Tester...? who knows, but contact them both.
This up-coming election is crucial for the future of a
free America....you know what to do.

how large the food portions are and sits
