VII. Rationale:

Scouting with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) is an effective co-curricular program in the
leadership and value formation of every child. Its main objective is consistent with the Department of
Education’s and CMC’s mission to develop every boy and every young man into well-rounded
individual with exemplary character worth the emulation of school children.

As such, our school Central Mindanao Colleges, as a private institution, is truly an alliance of the
BSP Council in the conduct of the scouting activities. This school sees the imperativeness of
membership and participation in Boy and Senior Scouting and its programs, projects and activities for
it must be highly encouraged and supported.

Years passed, it was observed that our school was mislaid in the participation of the mentioned field
but clearly, it must be viewed as a challenge to win back the prestige. Recently, through the initiative
of the Senior Scouts Movement of the Senior High School Department, we started to redeem the
image of the school as our scouts engage themselves in Crew Leaders Training Course held on July
13-15 and even in One Mindanao Scouts Jamboree last August 15-18.

The interest and eagerness of the students to engage and indulge for more upcoming scouting
activities are set forth. What is left missing is a convenient and ventilated structure that they can stay
and sleep with for it was observe that our Camp Hut in Camp Bulatukan was found unsuitable for
living.

VIII. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

This project is a support facility on the arm of students’ development for it gives convenience to all
scouts who were going to partake in different scouting activities. It is viewed as a must because it is
clear that part of winning is a good living. Students should have a good place to sleep and eat with.
Moreover, this will give the scouts relaxation also and a way to prepare their selves better before
engaging in activities.

IX. OBJECTIVES :

General:To provide convenient and well-ventilated Camp Hut for scouts suitable for their living
during the duration of scouting activities.

Specific:
a. To renovate the structure of school Camp Hut in Camp Bulatukan.

b. To put up adequate water and lighting facilities.

c. To put up water tank for emergency purposes in case of water supply shortage.

General Services office, as the suggested team to work into the designing of project perspective and
renovation procedures;

PTA organization, for the expected counterpart and financial support as sponsor in the conduct of
the project.
