The Corona virus
COVID-19
pandemic is the
defining global
health crisis of our
time and the greatest challenge we are
facing since World War-II. Since, its
emergence in Asia last year, the virus
has spread to every continent except
Antarctica. But the pandemic is
much more than a health crisis; it's
also an unprecedented socio-
economic crisis. Stressing every one
of the countries it touches; it has the
potential to create devastating social,
economic and political effects that
will leave deep and longstanding
scars. UNDP is the technical lead in
the UN’s socio-economic recovery,
alongside the health response, led by
WHO, and the Global Humanitarian
Response Plan, and working under
the leadership of the UN Resident
Coordinators.
Every day, people are losing jobs and
income, with no way of knowing
island nations, heavily dependent on
tourism, have empty hotels and
deserted beaches. The International
Labour Organization estimates that
195 million jobs could be lost.
The World Bank projects a US$110
billion decline in remittances this
year, which could mean 800 million
people will not be able to meet their
basic needs.
Even world is trying every possible
effort to discover any effective
vaccine for the treatment of effected
people but so far no country has
claimed successful vaccine or any
medicine, the one and only treatment
so far proved effective is protect
ourselves by methods laid down by
frontline health workers.
In view of this we are supposed to
follow Guidelines and Sop’s in a way
to encounter the situation, Tali and
Thali did not proved so effective to
wipe out Covid from India, and
surely how could it be as there is no
scientific justification in it the only
effective thing is to maintain social
distancing, use face masks, wash
hands thoroughly, use sanitizers, and
avoid gatherings and useless
visiting’s.
So far, today’s lockdown is
concerned it is just digging well at
the time when fire has engulfed the
structure, what we have achieved so
far by lockdown is just higher rate of
unemployment, starvation, hunger,
depression and economic depression
in general because our government
ordered country wide lockdown
when it seemed too late and again
same thing is being repeated, this
lockdown‘ll again result zero. Let
people move for their routine works
as per guidelines in a way to protect
society from other challenges like
poverty and all that. If lockdown
then, why Parks and tourist places
are open? Just because they can’t
disappoint tourists as they belong to
them and it seems we are out of list
as care is for others and not for us.
State aims to create equality at every
level and surely have to work
accordingly for the betterment of
every individual. Since, we are in
lockdown post august 04 and we are
heading towards to touch the highest
lines of poverty. Pandemic is a
natural disaster we agree with it but
it does not mean we’ll let COVID to
snatch more lives by allowing
tourists freely to visit here and let it
be in community transmission phase,
which is more dangerous again.
Every haven’t in our society got
badly affected by lockdown so far as
lockdown of near about four months
could not decrease rate of infected
persons and what could it do now.
Only have’s survive so far without
having any miseries, they lived as
usual but haven’t sometimes slept
without eating a single bite as they
could not earn few rupee for their
survival.
Students of valley are unable to get
access with so called online classes
initiated by government, as on 2g
network it is even difficult to load a
webpage it seems like bull cart what
we can expect from online classes on
2g network is getting a bluck of
students, who despite receiving
education are illiterate and even 2g
facilities are not available always
What is the reason behind restricting
internet speed limited to 128kb/s as,
‘Access to Internet is a fundamental
Right’ as per rulings of Supreme
court. Even Despite this ruling the
Supreme Court failed to direct state
for the restoration of 4g internet
services in Valley. This again is a
question mark has Supreme Court
lost its jurisdiction in valley or is
judiciary supposed to work
accordingly as per will and wish of a
state, has judiciary lost its
independence. Due to these
circumstances students of valley are
not in a position to receive education
accordingly which means we are
fighting with two pandemics at the
same time, authorities should take
note of this and should protect us
from facing two pandemics at the
same time.
If tourist places are open for pubic
then why Religious places, business
establishments, transport, schools,
colleges and universities are closed,
these act are creating a number of
confusions and chaos among
common people. In this Pandemic we
have lost a number of lives just
because of medical negligence a
living example of the same thing is
Abrar Reyaz’s death, Doctors are not
paying any attention even towards
emergency cases they refuse to treat
people on the grounds of COVID
Infection, dear doctors humanity
exists first life and death is in the
hands of Almighty, rather you have
PPE Kits and other instruments you
can try emergency patients without
making an excuse of Corona Virus
Let’s end Lockdown, let people to
their routine as it has not proved
effective yet.
