Work Instruction for Generator Set

Preparation: Before Starting To Check

1. Check Crankcase Oil Level

1) Warm and Cold Side Cold Side
When machine is running,
please check Warm side.
When machine is stopped or
standby, please Check Cold
side.
2) Add Or Full Level
(Must have between Add and Full
Level)
3) Check Oil Leakage Warm Side

Remark: Under Add Level Or Above

Full Level is needed to report to
Control Room.

2. Check Coolant Level (0-100%)

1) SCAC(Separate Circuit After
Cooler) at left side of radiator SCAC Sight
and J/W (Jacket Water) at Glass
right side of radiator
2) Check Coolant Leakage
Jacket Water
Sight Glass
Remark: To check and record the
actual level you see. (100% or 50%
etc.)

3. Check VFD (Variable Frequency

Drive) Status (Auto/Hand/Off
Mode)
1) When machine is running,
please make sure “Auto
Mode”.
2) When machine is stopped or
standby, please make sure
“Hand or Off Mode” by Shift Auto Mode
Manager Instruction.

Remark: It is important to make sure Off Mode

“Auto Mode” when machine is
running.

4. Check MPS (Medium Pressure
Skid)
1) Check FFSS( Flow Grid Slam
Shut Valve)
{Trip(Valve Pin Short) or Main Slam Shut
Good(Valve Pin Long)} Valve
2) Check Main Slam Valve
{Trip(RED Color-Closed) or
Good(Green Color-Open)}

Remark: If Some Slam Shut Valve is

trip, please inform to Shift Manager. Flow Grid Slam

5. Check Alarm Lists at EMS

Panel(Engine Monitoring
System),DEIF Panel and EMCP
Panel (Engine Modular Control Eg. EMS Alarm
Panel)
1) If each panel has some
critical alarm, check and
report to Shift Manager.
(For example: Low Coolant
Alarm, etc.)
Eg. Some alarm
Remark: Please make sure all alarms at DEIF
are clear.

6. Check EMCP Panel

1) No alarm
2) Auto Mode(Machine is
running and Standby)
3) Stop Mode (Machine is Offline
or under Maintenance).

7. Check DEIF Panel
1) No alarm
2) Local or Remote Mode
When machine is standby or
stopped, please make it
“Local Mode”.
When machine is running,
please make it “Remote
Mode”. Remote Mode

Local Mode

8. -Starting the machine(By Local

Mode)
1) Press start push button and
please wait that rpm is until
1500.
2) If rpm is stable in 1500,
please press Gen Set Breaker
Close (On Button) button.
3) If Gen Set Breaker is closed, Start Button
please change Local to
Remote mode Push button. Breaker Close
or Open Button
-Starting the machine (By
Remote Mode) Stop Button
1) Change Local to Remote Mode
Push Button (Machine running and
Gen Set Breaker Closing will do
automatically.)

9. Stopping the machine

1) Change Remote to Local
Mode Push Button
2) Press Gen Set Breaker Close
or Open Button
3) If Gen Set Breaker is open,
please press Stop Button.

Remark: VFD is Off when Jacket Stop Button

Water Coolant Temperature is below
150 Degree Fahrenheit or by Shift
Manager Instruction.
