SWOT ANALYSIS

SWOT analysis is a basic, straightforward model that provides direction and serves as a basis for the

development of marketing plans. The role of SWOT analysis is to take the information from the

environmental analysis and separate it into internal issues (strengths and weaknesses) and external

issues (opportunities and threats).

The SWOT analysis summarizes the external environmental factors as a list of opportunities and threats.

Strengths

 High Quality with Affordable Price: The major strength of our product is it uses high quality
materials and its affordable price. Our products differ from other company product because
of high quality and affordable price; we always try to add some value with the product.

 Doesn’t use unhealthy chemicals: We assure consumers that our products aren’t using any
unhealthy chemicals or substances since our lemons are organic and

 Creative Flavoring

Weaknesses

 Product Preservation: It is difficult for our company to preserve our lemon products because
lemons are so easy to perish it is difficult to keep them fresh at all times and also we have the
problem of keeping our lemons at the right temperature. By means of keeping them cool and
fresh upon serving.

 Lack of fruit juice flavors

 Consumers Perception: Since our product is low priced, consumers will have the thought that
our products are of low quality. A lot of consumers believe that if the product is cheap it is made
of low quality, this puts our product at a disadvantage since it is affordable/ and not highly
priced.
Opportunities

 Promotional Activities: Our company plans to do promotional activities such as Advertising


and Sales Promotion to gain consumer awareness

 New Market: Being new to the market is a good opportunity for our company since being
new to the customer environment, it will create curiosity to consumers which will lead them
to try out our products.

 New Highly Advanced Equipment: Nowadays, companies has been developing new
equipment that are so advanced it gets the job done much faster and more efficient for
sellers such as ourselves. We had the opportunity to try out their newly developed
equipment that turned out to be handy and useful for making our lemon juices.

 Franchising: Franchising is a huge opportunity for our company, when our brand is already
established we can take a big step further on improving our brand through franchising. Our
food stand will be available at malls, sidewalks, and food parks.

Threats

 Established Competitors: When we lunch our new product in the market, there’s a whole
lot of popular and established brands in the area that compose a threat to our business. It is
important for us to differentiate our product from theirs and think of a solution on how we
can compete with their products.

 Changing Buyers Perception: Consumers perception are one of the most difficult things to
change, especially if they are loyal customers to our competitors.

 Competitors Adaptation to new Competition: Competitors can gain new ideas through new
competition in the market, so if our company thought of a new concept for a new product,
competitors can easily pick up a new idea for their own benefit.

 Environmental Effect: Due to climate change the quality of our lemons could be damaged by
extremely hot climates.
PESTEL ANALYSIS

The PESTLE analysis (Political, Economic, Socio-Cultural, Technological, Legal, Environmental) will
analyze the macro framework within which Lemon Topper operates

Political

Our product will be recognized by the Government. Improving labor policies and other corporate
policies to our business the government doesn’t have any restriction to our product and the rulings and
guidelines from government bodies on nutritional information on food and drink these regulations
Lemon topper will require food and drink to meet the standards provided by the DOH for food safety
and labelling to run the business efficiently.

Economic

Philippines’s current economic environment is good enough to our Business but the economic factors
which impact on Lemon Toppers include the level of taxation which may impact, either positively or
negatively, on the level of its profits. We can go ahead freely to develop this brand, our competitor’s
economic situation is strong so we need to take steps consciously.

Social

Socio-cultural factors which impact on Lemon Toppers includes changing consumer preference, which
helped Lemon Toppers become successful due to its ethos of natural ingredients and affordable price.

Our company will always try to increase our social image to do some CSR activity in Manila Corporate
social responsibility comes in many forms so will have some activity like Charitable giving, Volunteering
in the community and Improving labor policies. Our company will do other social task which will improve
our social image. Our company will have workplace for the people to improve their skills. We will take
some effort against smoking and awareness about AIDS which is good for our target market specially
millennials.
Technology

The new and advanced technology will help us to produce more products at a small amount of time. The
technology will help us promote our product by ways of showing consumers that our company is
innovative. Also advance technology of producing products is now an attraction to consumers by
watching how our products are being manufactured. The squeezer that we will use for our lemons
which is the tech support, could also be used for our future innovated products.

Environment

The product will not hamper any ecological balance. Our product will be made on the basis of eco-
friendly and easily adjust with environment and by reducing its carbon footprint, Lemon Toppers may
assist in addressing the issue of climate change which may create adverse weather conditions and
impact on harvests of fruits especially lemons. Having environmental activities can produce a good
image for our company and to contribute wellness for our environment.

Legal

We will have an authorized legal paper to launch our product. To produce Combonade we will have
proper legal lawyers to give us advice about legality. The product of course will be legal and safe to
consume due to the healthy materials and health benefits of our Lemonade, so we don’t have any
complex legality problem at all now and in order to produce our product, our production place will be
social fair.
